Sometimes, you just want hot pot on a hot day. This was our choice for that said hot day. This was my first time at Shabu Haru. We did come on a Saturday at 4PM, so the restaurant was empty. It makes sense since the temperature was 90 degrees that day. We were seated as soon as possible and helped immediately. We were offered the AYCE option and the al carte. There is a variety of soup bases for an additional price if you don't want that basic free broth. At first, I was scared that I wouldn't be full but that veggies bowl that came with the meat was huuuuge. Everything tasted so good and clean. The servers were attentive and checked up on us often. They made sure our broth wasn't running low to burn the pot or that our water was empty. Not sure if they overheard us talking about K-pop but that started playing as soon as we sat down. No complaints there, it was a vibe. My friend, who showed me this place, says that this she never really saw people when she dined here. She was hoping that she just came at an off time. I hope this business is doing alright. I wouldn't want this place to go out of business since I enjoyed it.

I love this hot pot spot. I go here often. Sometimes alone. The service is always on point. The ambiance is great for families + date night out + to go and enjoy a meal with friends. I usually get the beef belly and/ or the ribeye. I highly recommend this spot.

I enjoyed this place for a little bit of a more expensive/special meal. My party loved the toro and thought it was beautifully seasoned and had a great texture. The shrimp spring rolls were also pretty good, but nothing crazy. I also really loved that vegetables were AYCE -- we loved the kabocha and were so happy we could ask for more of just that. However, the it didn't seem like the broths themselves were flavorful, and we didn't love the sauces. I got the Spicy Crab Soup for extra $4 but didn't think it was worth it. Our meal gave us enough leftovers for two more meals afterwards so I would say the portions are generous! I definitely think the regular size meat was more than enough. The service was also very attentive and friendly and the place is nice and clean. Weirdly, there seemed to be a lot of burners that didn't work, but that didn't directly affect our meal.

One of my favorite shabu places! The meat and veggie quality is good, and the portions are perfect. I especially love the goma sauce. The broth is always so flavorful. I usually get pork tonkatsu, or sukiyaki. Also a plus that they serve purple rice. Everyone working has always been nice and they usually have great music playing in the background. Love coming here for their ayce menu as well (I think it's usually on Tue/Wed). I always walk out feeling super full and happy!

This is where mokkoji use to be. The place is small but has a good amount of seating. Came on a Tuesday night and was seated right away. My friend and I both ordered the waygu beef with pork bone tonkatsu broth. I ordered the reg size and my friend ordered the large. The broth was really good and flavorful. The portion of the meat was perfect for me. It comes with a mix of veggies. My fave part is it's ayce veggies. You can order more of the veggies that you like. It's very similar to mokkoji. I took the leftover broth home to eat the next day for lunch!! I love this place and will definitely come back again. Sadly they don't give you anything for a birthday. Also I thought the price was slightly higher than other places for Shabu but still i will come back.
